Is there a correlation between celebrities and young people undergoing plastic surgery?

Is there a correlation between celebrities and young people undergoing plastic surgery?YOU SHOULD ONLY UNDERGO PLASTIC SURGERY WHEN YOU ARE CONFIDENT THAT IT IS THE CHOICE FOR YOU.

Whether it be a breast augmentation due to an irregularity in your breasts or even a tummy tuck after weight loss; whatever it may be it is a decision that you take after careful thought and consideration.

CELEBRITY INFLUENCE

However, with the increase of young people on social media, they are more and more at risk of being influenced by their celebrity idols. With cosmetic surgery being so available to the stars it makes it seem as if it is a very common practice, even for the younger celebrities who are finding stardom. It is this attitude that makes younger people believe that it a small decision to make.
The added pressure of having to look a certain way in society will be what drives the naive and impressionable to undergo cosmetic surgery. Celebrities such as Bella and Gigi Hadid are beautiful and others desire to look like them. However, Bella’s decision caused a great amount of controversy due to the fact that she changed her image so dramatically that her friends and relatives were noted to have said that they did not recognise her. This is not a positive representation for young women when it comes to their understanding of plastic surgery.

MAKE SURE IT IS RIGHT FOR YOU

Even though cosmetic surgery can be used to change a feature of your body that has plagued you; or to fix an irregularity that has come about as a result of weight loss or a change in your body, it should only be undertaken after an individual has stopped developing. Interfering with the body’s natural development could either make the surgery null and void or even cause problems later in life. Members of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (BAAPS) have commentated that yes, some young women may have a need for surgery at an early age for correctional reasons, but those who undergo it purely as a result of celebrity influence could regret it as they are at a psychologically vulnerable age.
Cosmetic surgery can do wonders to correct your image and increase your self-esteem; or even give you the much-needed confidence that you have been missing. Whatever the reason for Plastic surgery, the decision needs to be made after great consideration and at a point when the body has finished developing. Contact Belvedere today for the right support and advice for your next cosmetic procedure.

The good, the bad and the ugly of celebrity plastic surgery

Celebrities are the first to deny that they’ve had any Plastic Surgery done, but this is not particularly believable as the work they’ve had done shows on their faces, especially the more extreme procedures that you should avoid.
Have a look at some of these extreme celebrity examples to get an idea of what works and what doesn’t so your plastic surgery looks natural and improves what’s already there rather than changing your whole face.

PLASTIC SURGERY GONE WRONG

One of the worst examples of plastic surgery going wrong is Pete Burns, former DJ, TV personality and man about town. Mr Burns had so many lip implants (and also probably other work like cheek implants) he barely looked like he used to.

KATIE PRICE

Katie Price, the former model known as Jordan, has definitely had multiple breast implants. She has up to eight breast augmentations, lip fillersbotox and a myriad of other procedures. Unfortunately, Katie has had to step away from the surgeon’s knife because of rupturing breast implants.

PLASTIC SURGERY GONE RIGHT

The good, the bad and the ugly of celebrity plastic surgeryKATE BECKINSALE

Kate Beckinsale, English star of movies like Underworld, has had minor plastic surgery done, but very well, and she shows just what little work can do without going over the top. She appears to have teeth veneers fitted and a minor nose job, but this work was so subtle it accentuated her natural beauty rather than making her look older or unnatural.

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY

Keira doesn’t appear to have had a lot of plastic surgery done, or perhaps it’s so subtle it’s hard to notice. Her jaw line has definitely changed since her Bend it like Beckham days, and it has given her face a far more streamlined look.
Whether you’re thinking about breast enlargementliposuctiontummy tuck, lip fillers, rhinoplasty or any other cosmetic enhancements, the Belvedere Clinic, established in 1995, is the perfect location for you to make these improvements. 4 FAQ's About Breast Augmentation

MANY WOMEN ARE OVERWHELMED AND CONFUSED WHEN IT COMES TO THE FACTS SURROUNDING BREAST AUGMENTATION.

FAQ-Breast-Augmentation
This type of cosmetic surgery often comes with lots of misinformation and myths. Below we have put together four of the most frequently asked questions about breast augmentation.

1. AM I SUITABLE FOR BREAST AUGMENTATION?

This is a question that you need to ask yourself and your chosen cosmetic surgeon. Many women choose to have breast augmentation after pregnancy or breastfeeding to regain the shape they once had. Another reason is when shape and definition has been lost following weight loss or simply due to age. Whatever your reason, you need to carefully consider all risks and benefits of having this cosmetic procedure.

2. WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE CONSULTATION?

During the first consultation, you will be able to discuss your wishes and expectations of the surgery with your surgeon. They will advise you on the best type and shape of breast implant to use, dependent upon your frame and size. They will also suggest if the breast implant should be placed in front of or behind the muscle. The real purpose of the initial consultation is for you to ask questions and to gain information about the procedure.

3. WHAT SIZE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

This is one of the biggest questions you need to ask yourself. What cup size should you go up to? This very much depends upon your natural cup size and shape of breast. You also need to take into account any loose skin, or excess fat surrounding the breast area. Your surgeon can help you with this decision via the use of 3D software that shows you how your breasts will look post-surgery. They can also show you ‘before and after’ images of their past work.

4. DIFFERENT SHAPES OF IMPLANT

Breast implants come in various sizes and shapes. Implants are round, teardrop and have different finishes. Once again your cosmetic surgeon will best advise you on the many different types of implant to meet your needs. If you already have a good breast shape but are lacking in volume, then the best choice is the round implant. If your breast is lacking in shape and volume, then the teardrop implant is the preferred choice.

Plastic surgery doesn’t have a negative impact on people’s relationships

It’s always a very personal decision to choose to have plastic surgery. However, many people still factor in their loved ones when making it – particularly their partner.

IT NOW TRANSPIRES THAT THIS IS RARELY THE DEAL-BREAKER THAT MANY IN A RELATIONSHIP EXPECT IT TO BE.

According to a new Google survey commissioned by RealSelf, 45% of people say that plastic surgery wouldn’t change how they feel about their significant other if they have a procedure done. A further 38% also revealed that they would happy with their partner choosing to undergo certain procedures. Meanwhile, just 13% of people quizzed in the survey said that they would potentially think negatively of their partner for going under the knife.

MORE MEN ENJOYING PLASTIC SURGERY

The results coincide with the rising number of married people – particularly men – who have enjoyed the benefits of plastic surgery in recent years. Back in 2014 (when the number of men having cosmetic surgery had just shot up by 17%), the spike was put down to the fact that husbands now want to look as amazing as their surgically-enhanced wives do.
Discussing the trend, psychologist Amanda Hills told Mail Online: “The rise of the metrosexual man, personified by celebrities such as David Beckham and Shane Warne, has certainly put pressure on other men to look a certain way.” She added: “But mostly, I think men see women who have had surgery looking flawless and feel compelled to match them. They believe this is what women want.”
In addition, it seems men aren’t just happy with their girlfriends and wives going under the knife – they are actually rooting for them to do so. A survey by Voucher Codes Pro has previously found that 24% of men actually want their partner to undergo a form of cosmetic surgery since it will make them both look and feel better.
Are you interested in cosmetic surgery?
It’s understandable that you’ll want to factor your significant other into your decision to have cosmetic surgery. Luckily the evidence shows that they’ll more than likely be on board with it! If you’ve decided on a procedure, be sure to find out all the information you need on it by getting in touch with Belvedere.

People are using plastic surgery to combat age discrimination in the workplace

IT’S ILLEGAL TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST A PERSON ON THE BASIS OF THEIR AGE. HOWEVER, THIS PREJUDICE IS HARD TO PROVE – ESPECIALLY IN THE WORKPLACE.

People are using plastic surgery to combat age discrimination in the workplace
Despite the 2006 EU Employment Framework forbidding employers from passing up people for jobs based on their age, it seems those who don’t possess a youthful appearance are still missing out on roles, promotions and career opportunities because of their looks. That is, until now.
According to a report, the more mature demographics are looking to get a leg-up in the job market by levelling the playing field with the help of plastic surgery. It’s particularly being used in the United States, where those above a certain age are turning to procedures such as facelifts to knock a few years off their appearance.
Doctor Grant Stevens – president-elect of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery – explained: “They don’t want to look older because they wear their resume on their face.” He added: “What if you’re 50 years old and you’re looking for a job and you’re competing with a 25 or 30-year-old? What if you’re 45?”
The ASAPS has previously found that the number of people having cosmetic surgery over the age of 65 has more than doubled in the past two decades. In addition to this, 75% of those aged between 65 and 75 are completely new to going under the knife.
Geriatrician Bill Thomas has argued: “People are making a calculated decision, trying to escape the stigma of ageing and buy a little time, be in the world and not be sidelined because of their appearance.”
So what’s the most popular procedure for those over the age of 65? An eyelift ( Upper Blepharoplasty & Lower Blepharoplasty ). All in all, this treatment was performed on over 39,772 patients over the age of 65 in America in 2015.
Can surgery help you?
There’s no need to feel like you’re at a disadvantage in the workplace just because of your age. Instead, you can shave years off your appearance with the help of cosmetic surgery. If you’re ready to experience going under the knife just like many others have before you, be sure to get in touch with Belvedere.

What is causing the growing popularity of arm lift surgery?

An astonishing 67% of men and 57% of women are overweight in the UK. The same alarming trend can be seen in the US. However, it seems large numbers of people are now making an effort to experience extreme weight loss – and this is leading to an increase in arm lift surgery.
Extreme weight loss leads to growing popularity of arm lift surgery

IN FACT, THE ARM LIFT PROCEDURE IS NOW CARRIED OUT AN AVERAGE OF 15,000 TIMES A YEAR IN AMERICA.

Extreme weight loss – whether it’s achieved naturally or through treatment such as a gastric bypass or gastric sleeve – is prone to leaving patients with skin sagging from their arms. The only viable option to remove this unsightly sagging is to undergo an arm lift. Also known as brachioplasty, it’s a procedure in which a surgeon reshapes and contours the upper arm. Anyone can take advantage of it; however, it’s typically popular with those who have shifted huge amounts of weight.
American media outlet WINK News recently welcomed Dr. Michael Kim on to one of their broadcasts to discuss the procedure with news anchor Kristin Sanchez. He revealed that arm lifts are especially popular amongst people between the ages of 30 and 60. He also added that it’s not uncommon for other age groups to take advantage of the surgery as long as they’re in good health and are likely to make a speedy recovery.
Dr. Kim said: “It’s a very safe, relatively straight-forward procedure.” He added: “Most of the patients are extremely happy. Once you cut that skin out it’s almost like a normal arm – it looks great!”
The surgeon also explained that there was no other feasible way to lose the sagging skin from the arms without going under the knife. This means that other attempts – such as a change in diet or increased exercise – can prove futile.
Are you fed up with your arms?
Life’s too short to accept your imperfections. After all, you can take action and improve your appearance with the help of plastic surgery. Whether you require an arm lift or have set your sights on a different procedure, be sure to find out all the information you need by getting in touch with Belvedere.
