Celebs who proved less really is more with cosmetic surgery

When this happens, cosmetic surgery has drastically altered their appearance, and not always for the better. However, if cosmetic surgery is done right the changes should not inspire a social media frenzy or gossip. Alterations should be subtle, where friends and colleagues say, “Wow, you look great! Did you take a few days off?”

So, which celebrities have avoided the temptation to over-do it and have instead showed us that less really is more?

Ariel Winter

Last year, the 18-year-old Modern Family star admitted to undergoing breast reduction surgery, saying she had suffered with back pain and discomfort. In a Marie-Claire interview in 2015, the beauty admitted that she was teased and bullied a lot, especially on social media, about her large breasts. However, she stated she now feels she is exactly the way she’s “supposed to be.”

Sharon Osbourne

Sharon Osbourne has always been candid about her multiple plastic surgeries; the X Factor reality tv star admitted to the Daily Mail: “There’s not much I haven’t had tweaked, stretched, peeled, lasered, veneered, enhanced or removed altogether. I don’t think I’m as bad as some women – like Jocelyn ‘bride of’ Wildenstein.”

Amanda Redman

Last year, the 42-year-old Redman admitted to the Daily Mail that she’d had Botox and fillers, saying: “I’ve had botox and fillers in the past, but then I stopped. I might do it again, or have a facelift – I never say never about anything.”

Betty White

This iconic star, now 94-years-old, admits to having had eyelid surgery, or a blepharoplasty in 1976, admitting that it may not have been nice to fool mother nature, but she is awfully glad she did!

Olivia Colman

This British beauty readily admitted to the Daily Mail that she has had Botox and LOVED (in caps) it, even initially hiding it from her husband, who found it “hilarious” when she later admitted it to him. The 42-year-old says she tries to get the procedure done when she has a big gap between roles.

Vaser Liposuction | Vaser Lipo Clinic London Kent Essex

All you need to know about Vaser Liposuction at the Belvedere Clinic London, Kent & Essex

vaser-liposuction London Kent Essex
Every body type has specific areas that are more predisposed to fat collection, sometimes even the most determined efforts to dispose of this stored fat is met with discouraging results. Advanced Vaser techniques combined with superior Liposuction technology now allows for safer alternative cosmetic procedures to address unwanted fat revealing a new shape and faster recovery times.

Overview of Vaser Liposuction

before-after-vaser-lipoVaser Lipo is an advanced method of body contouring designed to selectively remove unwanted portions of body fat. This is a more advanced method than the intrusive and abrasive methods of traditional liposuction. Vaser employs cutting edge ultrasound technology which gently reshapes and the body.
The biggest difference between Vaser and traditional lipo is the capacity to target fat while leaving other fragile tissues unharmed. Nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue were often damaged by traditional lipo procedures. Modern innovative Vaser technology breaks up fatty build up while leaving other tissues intact. This results in a smoother operation and reduced recovery period.

How Vaser Works

The first task is to treat the area that will be shrunk with a saline solution that will numb the area while shrinking the blood vessels to avoid blood loss and reduce the possibility of damage. The solution acts to keep the area of operations wet and filled with liquid, this makes it easier for the Vaser lipo system’s ultrasonic energy to break up and dispose of the fatty tissue in the area.
The next task is to break up the fatty tissue with a small probe that emits the correct sonic frequency to reduce the fat to a liquid. This liquid can then be gently removed with a delicate suction tool perfectly designed for minimizing trauma to any surrounding blood vessels, nerves or connecting tissues.

Vaser Liposuction FAQs

What body areas can be treated with VASER Lipo?
Cosmetic physicians have had great success in applying Vaser Lipo to various different parts of the body, including the chin, neck, face, breasts (male and female), buttocks, love handles, calves, thighs, knees and ankles. The precision nature of Vaser lipo allows application in areas traditional lipo could never reach.
How much fat can be taken? Can you treat multiple areas at once?
One great thing about Vaser is the capacity it has to address more than one body part at a time. Only a doctor would be able to tell you how much body fat can be removed from a patient in one operation. Remember that this is not meant as a weight loss alternative. The idea behind the procedure is to create a more appealing silhouette. There may not actually be that much weight lost, but the slimmer profile is the promised reward.
How soon will I see my results? What is the recovery time?
That depends on the extensiveness of the operation, how much fat is being removed as well as how many areas were addressed by a single procedure. Many patients have reported dynamic results within days of the procedure and many others had to wait 3 months and more. It will be important to consult a doctor before any realistic projections can be made.

In November, the singer – aged 42 – had no qualms when it came to talking about the work he’s had done. He said: “I’ve had Botox and some fillers and something done to my chin. And I really like it.”

Martine McCutcheon Former EastEnders actress Martine McCutcheon told the world that she had work done after an illness made her face appear ‘ravaged’.   Carol McGiffin Carol McGiffin turned to Botox after surviving breast cancer. The television personality said that she decided to treat herself to the procedure because she began to feel like ‘an old tramp’. In April, she told Bella magazine: "I just want to try and look my best. I don't make enough effort". Carol, 56, also revealed that she wouldn’t rule out a facelift in the future.

Four famous faces who revealed their Botox secrets in 2016.

The life of a reality star can be very glamorous – and the highlight for many is appearing on reality TV shows like Celebrity Big Brother. Over the years, we’ve seen a bevvy of beauties take part in the show, from Tara Reid to Eureka Johnson. And once they’ve been given their marching orders, many of the stars have gone on to treat themselves to some well-deserved cosmetic surgery. In the past, this has ranged from boob jobs to nose jobs, but this year a number of former CBB housemates have turned to lip fillers. Here’s a rundown of those who had the easy procedure in 2016.

Stephanie Davis Stephanie overhauled her image when she came second on the show in January. After first dying her hair platinum blonde, she headed straight for some lip fillers. Clearly thrilled with the results, she shared a picture of her new plump pout on Instagram.

Charlotte Crosby Charlotte won CBB in 2013. Afterwards, she began using lip fillers to enhance her pout. The most recent procedure took place earlier this year. Gushing about her new appearance, the Geordie Shore star told Mail Online: "I had the thinnest top lip before. I've been getting my lips done for about two years now, I get them done every five or six months at a place in Newcastle."

Chloe Goodman Ex on the Beach star Chloe Goodman was relatively unknown before her stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2015. Since leaving the house she has been a huge supporter of cosmetic surgery and insisted she’ll always have lip fillers done. Just this year, before yet another procedure, she said: "I’d stop having it done if my lips stayed like this but they dissolve so I have to get them topped up."

Chantelle Houghton Chantelle Houghton didn’t start playing the fame game until she appeared on CBB in 2006. She’s since amassed a huge fan base, in due part to sharing saucy pictures on social media. However, this year she showed off a different side when she posted a video as she received lip fillers. The footage was well-received by many.

Everyone can get in on the action Like many other women, these glamorous stars have all turned to the most popular cosmetic surgery procedure of 2016. If you want to get the same boost of confidence for the new year, get in touch with us at Belvedere Clinic today.
