Why do people get plastic surgery? The answer has been revealed

PLASTIC SURGERY APPEALS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE FOR A WHOLE VARIETY OF REASONS.

THIS CAN BE ANYTHING – FROM WANTING TO IMPROVE THEIR CAREER PROSPECTS TO SIMPLY WANTING TO TRY SOMETHING NEW. HOWEVER, A NEW SURVEY HAS PINPOINTED THE MAIN REASON WHY PATIENTS DECIDE TO UNDERGO A COSMETIC PROCEDURE.

The answer? One word: confidence. According to research carried out by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery – who offer everything from liposuction to hair transplants – patients are most interested in boosting their self-esteem when they go under the knife.
While the majority of those quizzed revealed that they first considered a form of cosmetic treatment to ‘feel more confident’, others also confessed that they were urged to improve their appearance to ‘feel more attractive’ and to ‘look as young as I feel or better for my age’. Mirroring similar surveys carried out around the globe, the research also confirmed that more people than ever before are open to the idea of cosmetic surgery in 2017. In fact, seven out of 10 people are now interested in a procedure – twice as many as in 2013.
The results, while eye-opening, might not come as that much of a surprise to those people who closely follow pop culture. After all, numerous celebrities have previously admitted to going under the knife with the intention of experiencing a new level of confidence. Just take Kaley Cuoco as an example. The Big Bang Theory star has gone under the knife on multiple occasions – having had everything from a boob job to lines removed from her neck.
Just last year the actress stood up for herself and declared the work had done wonders for her self-esteem. In a candid interview, she proudly told Women’s Health: “I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else, but if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing.”
It’s time to boost your confidence!
You can expect to feel much better about yourself after undergoing plastic surgery. This newfound confidence will hopefully improve both your personal and professional life.
